Wallpaper Wednesday!

Wallpaper Wednesday!

I have been on the search for a botanical wallpaper for one of my clients.  And not just any type of botanical will do, something that has a bit more interest, a bit more uniqueness.  Well in steps the wonderful Peter Fasano.  I just knew I had found THE one (even though it wasn't a traditional botanical) when I ran across his impressive collection of Arboretum.  The trees, the layout, the colors all are exactly what I needed.  The impressions of the hand sketched trees and accompanying landscape has such an antique and raw feel that it truly gives the finishing touches that I so desired.

Another one of his papers that has me beaming with delight is the Ardley Collection.  The simplicity of pattern and use of colors is light and refreshing and would be a wonderful paper to use as an alternative to the traditional visually heavy pattern of a traditional botanical paper.

Just my thoughts for today.  Enjoy!

Wallpaper Wednesday Resurfaces!

Wallpaper Wednesday finally resurfaces.  Since my last post I have been bustling about with work, family and life in general.  All positive happy things but nonetheless busy to say the least.  I have however run across a great line from Mally Skok Design.  There is a simplicity and ease about this paper that makes me happy and their fabrics are amazing as well.

I just love the coordinating fabric selections that they have.
The pattern is different but the colors and the
essence are cohesive and I love it.

Such a fun clean crisp looking bathroom.

Wallpaper Wednesday

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wallpaper Wednesday is back on track for 2014.  One of my challenges this year is to continue with curating new wallpaper lines and provide design inspiration to you all.

Starting off this year we are going to visit the many collaborative designs and designers of Hygge & West.  From block print to traditional, whimsical to bold, these collections have a number of options to satisfy us all.

Touching on the whimsical side of us, all this collection of "Daydream" pattern from Julia Rothman has a color scheme available for us all.

What do you think about this whimsical bird motif?

Is 2014 the year of the birds?

'Til next week
